Ubisoft joins Aleph.im network
As many cases show, the world of entertainment definitely wants to reach out to the crypto world. Following the example of UFC, which partnered with Crypto.com, video game developer Ubisoft decided to share its blockchain ambitions and join the Aleph.im network.
Welcome Ubisoft, the new channel node operator!
Ubisoft becomes a core channel node operator as part of its collaboration with the Aleph.im cloud computing platform. What will be the role of the video game company for this partnership? As a channel node operator, it is responsible for validating and managing the decentralised network.
The two companies report that they are satisfied with their new collaboration. Jonathan Schemoul, CEO and founder of Aleph.im, didn’t miss the chance to reiterate on his firm’s goal. “The company’s primary mission is to make decentralised cloud services a reality,” he said.
Blockchain a part of Ubisoft’s DNA?
Ubisoft has once again expressed its confidence in blockchain technology. “At Ubisoft, we believe that Blockchain holds a key to the future of the videogame industry, bringing new possibilities for players and developers alike,” said Didier Genevois, Blockchain Tech Director at Ubisoft.
He also added: “Beyond NFTs themselves, the decentralised storage of their metadata appears to us as a determining factor in fulfilling the whole promise of true ownership. In this perspective, the exploration of the services offered by the Aleph.im decentralised network is particularly promising.”
Ubisoft informed that it would continue its crypto initiatives. In June 2020, the company created blockchain-based collectables to raise funds for the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
Video game company Ubisoft is diving deeper into the world of cryptocurrency. It has just announced a collaboration with Aleph.im and thus has become a core channel node operator. It is a perfect opportunity for the company to retain its position as a supporter of blockchain technology, from which Ubisoft will benefit for years to come.
