Musk and Dorsey to discuss Bitcoin (BTC) at “B Word” event
Twitter has always been a stamping ground for famous people who want to grab attention. Elon Musk and Jack Dorsey are no exception. Tesla and Twitter CEOs have agreed to “have THE talk” at a Bitcoin event called “The B Word”
“Let’s have THE talk”
“Let’s have THE talk”, that’s how Jack Dorsey invited Elon Musk on Twitter to speak at “The ₿ Word” — a virtual event to be hosted by the Crypto Council for Innovation and scheduled for 21st July, featuring major players in the crypto space.
Musk finally accepted Dorsey’s invitation and made a real fuss on Twitter with his responses gathering 15,6k likes.
ARK Invest CEO Cathie Wood, who will also be a featured speaker at “The ₿ Word” event, was surprised by this Twitter discussion and wrote on her Twitter account that she would be looking forward to see this debate.
The whole crypto community will be watching this debate closely. Jack Dorsey, on the one hand, a strong Bitcoin supporter and Musk, on the other hand, a person, whose tweets made his fans adore him stronger and BTC holders hate him harder.
Surely, there is now very little doubt that Elon Musk is definitely too influential on Bitcoin prices. So, on 29th January, the Bitcoin price suddenly soared after Musk changed his Twitter bio to #bitcoin. Then, Tesla announced that it purchased $1.5 billion (~£1.08 billion) worth of Bitcoin and would accept Bitcoin payments for its cars. All these statements allowed Bitcoin to regain ground. However, in May, Musk announced that Tesla would no longer accept Bitcoin as a payment option, citing concerns about the environmental impact of the cryptocurrency.“
“The ₿ word” is expected to be full of surprises. The event is scheduled to take place on 21st July. It’s a “Bitcoin focused initiative that aims to demystify and destigmatise mainstream narratives about Bitcoin and explain how institutions can and should embrace it,” its website says. Featured speakers at the event also include Ark Invest CEO Cathie Wood, Blockstream founder Adam Back and Michael Morell, former Acting Director and Deputy Director of the United States Central Intelligence Agency.
