Today is Sunday, 19th September, which means that it’s time to announce the NFT of this week!
In the NFT of the Day series, we review and discuss digital art from both aspiring creators and renowned professional artists. However, fame is not our key criterion. We evaluate the idea behind the piece and the author’s ability to convey it. No enfant cheri, the game is fair.

Before we announce the NFT of this Week, we want to remind you that all the works in the compilation are remarkable in their own way. By picking one artist and naming him/her the winner we don’t seek belittling the merits of other participants.
This being said, let’s get back to the nominees of this week!
Thee Kuttichathan Thira by Arun Hegden
Thee Kuttichathan Thira (Guardian of Fire) is a shot taken in India. The performer is playing a role of a mythical entity that commands fire.
The photograph is ablaze with energy. It channels a violent, yet harmonious interplay between flame and a human being.
Life Force Nº 6 – Dodecahedron by Joëlle (video)
At first, the work seems to reference Malevich’s Black Square with its black background that waits for cosmic events to unfold.
The piece is presented within the Life Force series, that is being described as “a series of works exploring seven sacred geometric shapes – using energy, light & sound to amplify the healing and spiritual qualities of these geometrical forms.”
The Evolution of Orchids by Sofia Crespo
Here’s how the author described her work: “Orchidaceae are an ever-evolving, mutating, and generative family of flowering plants. Meditating upon this evolution we explore the neural expressions of orchid essence, entangling with their cross-pollination of features, details and adaptions: a bustling, rich torrent of diversity and exuberance.”
The Evolution of Orchids by Foundation user Sofia Crespo shows orchids merging one into another. Passionate and screaming ‘beauty’, next moment soft and calm: these chameleonic orchids make observers think of time, its pace and its secrets. There flashes a though that you can change everything in a second. Next comes a though that a lifetime will not be enough…
Some orchids bloom only a few hours, it’s a great luck that the artist managed to capture them in blossom.
PULSE 01 by Uwe Heine Debrodt
The author of PULSE 01 managed to hear and outline the rhythm of the Universe, a complex cosmic mechanism, accurate and clockwork-like. The piece incarnates the unearthly pulse of life. Everyone can see something personal in this NFT: space-wandering alien, constellation, or dancing planets. Billions of meanings for billions of people.
Quoting Morpheus from The Matrix: “What is real? How do you define real? If real is what you can feel, smell, taste and see, then ‘real’ is simply electrical signals interpreted by your brain.”
Artificial Transfiguration by @izzy
We can only suggest that the author’s decision to name the piece Artificial Transfiguration stemmed from the desire to emphasise the nature of beauty and its destructive, burning power.
The work is contrasting indeed: the colour scheme (black, terracotta, orange) is very ‘emotional’, while the protagonist seems to be calm.
The Ghost tells the Story #1
This NFT is based on the picture “A Ghost tells a murder story”, which Salvador Dali created back in 1973 inspired by Shakespeare’s “Hamlet”. Dali came up with a complex, detailed work of art full of unique surreal characters. Every time you look at the piece, you make a discovery.
It was very smart of the NFT author to choose Dali’s piece as an inspiration since this Spanish Surrealist painter and printmaker is considered one of the most collectable artists of all time. His works have a huge cost growth potential.
And the NFT of the Week is…
Before we announce the NFT of the week, we remind you that our opinion is subjective and is based on personal preferences.
Choosing the winner was quite a challenge.
With much debating behind, The Ghost tells the Story #1 becomes the NFT of the Week! We couldn’t resist the greatness of Salvador Dali.
