These shoes were designed by Nike exclusively for Michael Johnson after filming him with high-speed cameras. The company then created special cleats to match his unique racing style!

The fight of the century (with a little twist)

In March 1971, the “fight of the century” between Joe Frazier and Mohammed Ali took place. This fight was considered to be one of the greatest in history and is still thought to be one of the most publicised sporting events of all time. Just imagine: two undefeated boxers come head to head on the world’s biggest stage for the heavyweight title. In the first fight (of the three that would follow), Frazier won 15 rounds by unanimous decision.

The NFT offered by Sotheby’s is an original drawing by Mohammed Ali, still hanging at the Ali family home. The work depicts Mohammed Ali’s victory over Frazier.

The Converse Fastbreaks worn by Michael Jordan in 1984

These Converse Fastbreak trainers, worn by Michael Jordan in 1984, are among the rarest trainers he has ever worn and signed. This pair is also one of the most well-known models worn by Jordan during the 1984 Olympic trials early in his career, prior to his debut NBA season with the Chicago Bulls.

The Air Jordan IVs at the London Olympics

Carmelo Anthony went down in history at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, by breaking LeBron James’s record and becoming the first US male basketball player to win four Olympic medals.

Air Jordans IV aux JO de Londres

For the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, Jordan Brand came out with three Air Jordan IV Player Exclusive pairs for Anthony. All three pairs feature patriotic white and red colours and are incredibly rare.

Fly Me to The Moon

The Moon Shoe is one of the most important items in Nike’s history. This rare shoe is a running trainer designed by Bill Bowerman, Nike’s co-founder and University of Oregon athletics trainer.

According to the famous story, Bowerman came up with the innovative idea of creating the waffle sole traction pattern by playing around with his wife’s waffle iron, pouring rubber into its mould to create the prototype of the sole.

The Moon Shoe owes its name to the resemblance between the shoeprint it leaves on the ground and the famous traces US astronauts left on the moon in 1969.

The prototype of the famous Swoosh

This pair is notably characterised by the use of four prototype logos, very similar to the Nike Swoosh.

Perhaps you are interested in these items? It’s still possible to participate in the auction on Sotheby’s website. This is not the first time the house has auctioned NFTs, with an NFT in celebration of JAY-Z’s Reasonable Doubt recently unveiled on the website.
