Ethereum : BitMine Expects $164M In Annual Staking Revenue
While volatility continues to drive the crypto market, BitMine Immersion Technologies charts a more structured path. The company reveals a clear strategy: to turn its Ethereum holdings into a stable and sustainable revenue source through staking. Its latest report, backed by figures, reveals a massive accumulation of ETH and a confident vision. Behind this maneuver is a clear message: staking is no longer an experimental option, but a central pillar of asset management for institutional players.

In brief
- BitMine adopts a long-term strategy focused on Ethereum staking, far from purely speculative logics.
- The company holds over 4.2 million ETH, including 2,009,267 already staked, representing more than 3.5% of the total circulating supply.
- At this level of commitment, BitMine could generate up to 374 million dollars per year, according to its president Tom Lee.
- The creation of its own validator network, MAVAN, marks a turning point towards autonomous infrastructure.
BitMine establishes itself as one of the largest Ethereum stakers
According to data, BitMine now holds 2,009,267 ETH in staking, out of a total of 4,243,338 ETH in its accounts.
At the network level, this represents more than 3.5 % of the total circulating Ether supply. The company capitalizes on staking stability to generate regular income. “Based on an average annual yield of 2.81 %, this represents approximately 164 million dollars in annual revenue”, the company’s report specifies.
Such an estimate is calculated based on current Ether prices and the average yield provided by the Composite Ether Staking Rate (CESR), an indicator used by institutional investors.
The report’s data reveals several quantified elements that illustrate the scale of BitMine’s strategy :
- 2,009,267 ETH already staked, representing a massive part of the network ;
- 4,243,338 ETH held in total, making it one of the largest Ethereum wallets in the sector ;
- A projection of 164 million $ in annual revenue at the current average yield rate (2.81 %) ;
- An estimate up to 374 million $/year if all ETH were staked, according to Tom Lee, i.e. “over a million dollars per day” ;
- An ongoing accumulation operation, with 40,000 ETH added to staked positions.
Through this offensive, BitMine establishes itself as a structuring player in Ethereum validation, with recurring income likely to strengthen its position in the coming months.
A strategy focused on infrastructure and operational sovereignty
Beyond the numbers, BitMine is taking a strategic turn by developing its own validator network. Named MAVAN, this project aims to establish an independent staking infrastructure operated directly by the company from the United States.
It is no longer just about allocating funds to third-party validators but about directly controlling the technical and economic mechanisms of staking. This approach fits within the autonomy sought by several major crypto entities, keen to control their regulatory and technological exposure.
Cash diversification also contributes to this long-term vision. Besides its Ether positions, BitMine holds 193 bitcoins and about 682 million dollars in cash. This mixed strategy allows it to adapt to market cycles while ensuring liquidity flexibility in case of reversal. By betting on secured passive yield while consolidating its financial resilience, BitMine clearly aims to position itself as a structural player in the Ethereum ecosystem.
BitMine asserts itself as the largest Ethereum reserve holder fully committed to leveraging staking as a performance lever. This structured strategy illustrates a profound sector shift, where ETH becomes a preferred yield asset by institutions, far beyond its mere speculative value.
