In a recent study it conducted, Binance has highlighted key areas of crypto that are expected to significantly progress in 2024. The study, carried out by Binance Research, its dedicated research division, mentions bitcoin (BTC) primarily.
According to Binance, the asset remains at the heart of crypto trends. This is supported by developments such as the Ordinals NFTs, the BRC-20 tokens, and the upcoming halving event.
Binance believes that bitcoin (BTC) has gained significant recognition as a “legitimate asset” in 2023. Therefore, the momentum around the asset, fueled by the recent approval of Bitcoin Spot ETFs, should be maintained in 2024.
While Binance Research suggests that bitcoin (BTC) will continue to make headlines in 2024, other themes will not be left behind. The platform mentions in its report other crypto segments that should attract attention because of their dynamism.

Besides the flagship crypto, Binance Research believes that institutional adoption of crypto is on the verge of accelerating. This is at least what the firm suggests, as evidenced by the entry into the crypto space of traditional financial giants such as BlackRock and Fidelity.
For Binance, their participation in this industry during successive bear markets highlights their belief in the long-term potential of the sector. This should contribute to a wider acceptance of cryptos.
The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into crypto is also seen as an area with high growth potential in 2024. Likewise for the tokenization of real-world assets (RWA) and the on-chain liquidity segment, which should flourish during the period.
Other areas such as decentralized physical network infrastructure (DePin) and decentralized social media, and account abstraction should continue to grow this year. Doing so by simplifying and enhancing the user experience of blockchain technology.
