Meet the character social media can’t get enough of

The first known video of Jean Philanthrope dates back to September 17, on Instagram. Inside an apartment, the man in the brown herringbone suit suddenly starts shadowboxing. Not a word, no explanation. Two days later, the character is on the street, this time with “FINIS-LES” by La Fève playing in the background.

The video surpasses 1.5 million views in three days. Another, shot in a Parisian park with “Dilemma” by Nelly, climbs to 5.6 million views. His Instagram account simultaneously surpasses 228,000 followers.

His appearance does the rest. Some see Lord Farquaad, others a poodle. The nickname “poodle man” quickly appears in the comments. Yet Jean Philanthrope has nothing to say. He doesn’t speak, gives no interviews, and doesn’t even seem to seek to explain his character.

Two days after Jean Phil, this British character replicates almost identical movements, in a setting very similar to the previous one. Even the cars visible in the background seem to pass at the same time.

A crypto that hit a $12 million market cap almost overnight

While internet users try to find out who Jean Philanthrope is, another piece of information is much less unnoticed by traders. On September 19, the crypto $JEANPHIL appears on Pump.fun.

The date is striking: Jean Philanthrope has only just started to circulate on social networks.

The X account @JeanPhilMadame quickly takes a stance. On September 20, it states that only one token is official and promises not to announce any price targets or returns.
