In brief
- Pump.fun has launched GO, a platform for paid challenges in cryptocurrencies based on Solana.
- GO quickly attracted more than 1,100 applications and over 320 active tasks.
- Some missions offer high rewards, but actual earnings remain modest.
- This launch demonstrates Pump.fun’s desire to expand its activity beyond meme-inspired tokens.
GO, a new platform for challenges in cryptocurrencies
Launched on June 5th by Pump.fun, GO operates like a bounty marketplace where rewards are escrowed before missions are executed. To participate, users must connect their X account as well as a digital wallet.
The platform allows users to propose challenges starting from 5 dollars. Rewards are paid in cryptocurrencies after task completion is validated. At its launch, GO displayed more than 320 active missions and over 1,100 applications.
Moreover, the data visible on the platform indicated at the time of writing more than $154,000 in unclaimed rewards. This activity confirms the interest generated by new incentive mechanisms linked to cryptocurrencies.
Atypical missions and sometimes very high rewards
The first announcements posted on GO cover very diverse fields. Some concern visibility campaigns, while others involve particularly original personal challenges.
A reward of approximately $18,620 was notably offered for anyone able to help Atelier win the pump.fun hackathon. Other missions required public actions or the creation of specific content in exchange for payments in cryptocurrencies.
Among the most notable offers was also a bounty that could reach 50,000 dollars for a parachute jump during a FIFA World Cup match. This mission required visual proof validated by a media outlet and excluded AI-generated content.
Earnings still limited despite the enthusiasm
Despite the amounts displayed in some announcements, the actual income earned remains relatively modest. The data published on GO show that the highest-paid participant had received $686.44 for a validated mission.
The next two earnings were respectively $596.51 and $487.11. These figures contrast with some five-figure rewards still visible on the platform.
Nevertheless, user engagement remains strong. One participant notably streamed live their attempt to obtain a reward related to a public resignation. Their experience illustrates the level of involvement observed on some missions paid in cryptocurrencies.
With GO, Pump.fun expands its activity beyond the creation of tokens inspired by memecoins. The company is now exploring new incentive models based on cryptocurrencies and direct user participation. This evolution could encourage the emergence of new forms of online interaction around cryptocurrencies, as the platform continues its development and attracts more participants.
