Shiba Inu Community Demands Answers On Shibarium
The official Shibarium account has not posted anything since July 13, 2026, while the network is going through a technical rebuilding phase. This absence does not prove the abandonment of the blockchain, but it deprives its users of a reliable channel at a time when the explorer remains partially indexed and activity slows down.

In brief
- Shibarium remains silent on its official account since July 13, 2026, raising concerns within the SHIB community.
- The blockchain remains operational, despite slowed activity and an unfinished reindexing of blocks.
- The lack of transparency fuels doubts about the network’s governance and the management of its official channels.
- The Shiba Inu community is waiting for clear answers on the progress of the work and the return of regular communication.
Four months without communication from Shibarium, and very concrete questions
The X account @shibariumnet was used to broadcast announcements about updates, incidents and the evolution of the layer 2 blockchain associated with Shiba Inu. Its silence has now lasted nearly four months, without public explanation or announced date for resuming publications.
This situation therefore goes beyond the simple management of a social network. For users, several essential pieces of information remain difficult to obtain from a clearly identified source.
The main areas of uncertainty concern now :
- The identity of the people who control the official account ;
- The reason for the interruption of posts since July 13 ;
- The schedule of ongoing work on Shibarium ;
- The real state of services during the blockchain reindexing.
A longstanding member of the community, known by the pseudonym Mazrael, claims that some access holders deliberately keep several accounts inactive. He specifically accuses them of using this silence to promote other tokens. This statement fuels tensions but remains an unverified allegation and does not constitute an official explanation.
The precedent is not limited to the Shibarium account. As early as March, community members were calling for more transparency about validators, the ecosystem’s tokens and the team’s reorganization. They then felt that essential updates were coming too rarely.
An active blockchain is not enough to reassure its users
The account’s silence does not mean that Shibarium has stopped functioning. Its explorer showed about 1020 daily transactions at the time of the source article’s publication, compared to a recent peak of 6370 on October 31. The network therefore continues to produce blocks, although its activity remains low.
Shibariumscan also indicates that 65% of the blocks have been reindexed. This operation can temporarily make some data incomplete or difficult to consult. By itself, it does not allow concluding a network failure or project abandonment.
The problem rather lies in the absence of explanations accompanying this work. When an explorer presents partial data, an official channel normally must specify the affected services, the progress of the intervention and any precautions to take. Without these indications, users must interpret provisional technical information on their own.
The developer Kaal Dhairya had briefly reappeared in October. Asked who finances the maintenance of Shibarium, he replied: “Yours truly”, indicating that he bore the costs himself. His statement suggested the network was not abandoned, but it did not specify its budget or long-term funding model.
The real test now lies in governance
For Shibarium, trust does not only depend on the number of transactions or the SHIB price. It also depends on the team’s ability to quickly authenticate information. A silent official account leaves more room for rumors, fake profiles and fraudulent announcements likely to target token holders.
This fragility is especially important for an ecosystem largely driven by its community. Unlike a strictly technical infrastructure, Shibarium also depends on its brand, its social outlets and the mobilization of the “SHIB Army”. When access to communication channels seems opaque, project governance itself becomes a risk issue.
An isolated resumption of publications would only solve part of the problem. The team should also clearly identify account managers, publish a work status and designate a reference source for technical incidents.
The next relevant signal will not just be a rise in transactions. We will need to watch for the publication of a reindexing schedule, clarification on the control of @shibariumnet and the return of regular technical updates. Without these elements, Shibarium could remain operational while continuing to lose a more difficult-to-rebuild asset: user trust.
