The bitcoin accumulation strategy reaches a new level of intensity with 1,665 more BTC added to Strategy’s vault. As publicly traded companies continue to restructure their balance sheets around digital assets, the simultaneous announcements from Strategy and Strive confirm the rise of crypto treasury on financial markets.

Strategy acquires an additional 1,665 BTC and surpasses the 847,000-bitcoin mark. Meanwhile, Strive is also bolstering its reserves.

In Brief

  • Strategy acquired 1,665 additional bitcoins for 142.7 million dollars, bringing its total reserves to 847,666 BTC.
  • Strategy offers a daily payment of its preferred dividends and finances its purchases by issuing MSTR shares.
  • Strive strengthens its positions with the purchase of 1,107 BTC, reaching over 27,000 bitcoins in treasury.

Strategy Surpasses 4% of Bitcoin’s Monetary Supply

According to the latest 8-K filing submitted to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Strategy acquired 1,665 additional bitcoins between September 21 and 27, 2026, for about 142.7 million dollars. The entire transaction took place at an average price of 85,681 dollars per unit. Thanks to this purchase, the firm led by Michael Saylor now holds a total of 847,666 BTC, representing a cumulative acquisition cost of approximately 64 billion dollars (an average price of 75,437 dollars per bitcoin).

At the current rate, the total value of this bitcoin portfolio held by Strategy exceeds 70.6 billion dollars, generating an estimated unrealized gain of 6.6 billion dollars. On a macroeconomic level, this asset volume takes on major symbolic significance because Strategy now controls more than 4% of the maximum supply of 21 million bitcoins. This operation was financed through a program of class A common stock (MSTR) sales on the market, raising 246.2 million dollars the previous week.

The MSTR Model Accelerates

Beyond the outright purchase of bitcoin coins, Strategy is evolving the financial structure of its equity securities to maximize their appeal to institutional investors. The company has therefore submitted a proposal to its shareholders to convert the dividend payout frequency of its preferred shares (STRC, STRD, STRF, STRK) to a daily rhythm. The measure will then be subject to a vote on October 28. If the amendment is adopted, the STRC series will switch to this daily model starting November 1, 2026, followed by the other categories during January 2027.

This operational change at Strategy neither changes the yield rates nor the total amount of the company’s obligations to its investors, but simply offers increased liquidity and enhanced predictability in the capital markets. This ongoing financial innovation dynamic continues to boost the MSTR stock, which recorded a 16.1% increase over the past week.

Strive Also Strengthens Its Bitcoin Reserve with 1,107 Additional BTC

The strategy conceptualized by Strategy is no longer an isolated model because in a message published by Matt Cole (@ColeMacro), the company Strive confirmed the acquisition of 1,107 additional bitcoins for 94.5 million dollars, achieved at an average price of 85,396 dollars per BTC. This new transaction brings Strive’s total holdings to 27,462 BTC, now valued at over 2.3 billion dollars.

Strive then specified that the exercise of subscription warrants generated an additional 12.4 million dollars, with 85% of the capital raised coming from its SATA vehicle. Strive’s initiative illustrates the propagation of the corporate reserve model, where publicly traded companies use equity markets to convert fiat liquidity into Bitcoin reserves. To date, nearly 200 public companies worldwide have incorporated BTC into their treasury strategy.

What to Remember from Strategy Strengthening its Bitcoin Reserves?

  1. With 847,666 BTC in its portfolio, Strategy alone now holds more than 4% of Bitcoin’s total supply as planned by the protocol.
  2. Strategy seeks to establish a daily dividend payout for its preferred shares to strengthen demand for its MSTR securities.
  3. Strive’s purchase of 1,107 BTC confirms that the race to accumulate bitcoin treasuries is expanding to other publicly traded financial players.

The race for Bitcoin reserves by Wall Street companies is gradually transforming how equity markets operate. By combining common stock issuance, treasury reserve management, and dividend structuring, players like Strategy and Strive create direct liquidity bridges between TradFi and crypto. Do you think Strive will manage to surpass Michael Saylor in BTC treasury BTC?
