SPCX Accounts for Nearly 30% of Trading Volume as AI Interest Expands

MEXC officially launched RealStocks on June 1, offering access to more than 7,000 U.S. stocks and ETFs during its first month. Trading activity was relatively concentrated among the most popular instruments. The top 10 assets accounted for 57.71% of total RealStocks trading volume in June, with market interest centered on two main themes: SpaceX-related opportunities and AI infrastructures.

MEXC RealStocks: First-Month Trading Insights

SPCX alone contributed 29.70% of total trading volume, significantly more than any other asset, making it the most prominent event-driven instrument during RealStocks’ first month.

AI-related trading, meanwhile, extended beyond a single market leader and spread across the broader infrastructure value chain. AAOI, MU, NVDA, MRVL, DRAM, AVGO, and SNDK together accounted for 23.67% of total trading volume. These assets cover several segments essential to AI development, including GPU computing, memory and storage, data center networking, and optical communications.

This trading pattern aligned with the broader shift of capital across the AI sector in June. Rather than focusing solely on NVDA, user interest spread across the data center buildout, reaching companies throughout the infrastructure chain that supports AI computing.

Large-Cap Stocks Drive Participation. Specialized Themes Drive Volume

A comparison of user participation and trading volume revealed clear differences in how investors engaged with popular RealStocks assets in June.

SPCX accounted for 29.06% of users trading the top assets and 29.70% of total trading volume. Following its IPO, SpaceX attracted broad participation and generated robust trading activity, making SPCX the clear standout on RealStocks in its first month.

NVDA ranked second by user participation at 21.52%. Other widely recognized technology companies, including AAPL, MSFT, INTC and GOOGL, also ranked among the top 10 assets by number of traders. These large-cap technology stocks generally ranked higher by user participation than by trading volume, indicating their strong recognition and widespread appeal among RealStocks users.

More specialized industry and thematic assets showed a different pattern. MRVL accounted for only 2.12% of participating users but contributed 3.15% of trading volume. AAOI, DRAM, STRC, and AVGO did not rank among the top 10 by user participation, but all appeared in the top 10 by trading volume. AI infrastructure and other specialized themes attracted a smaller group of traders than widely recognized AI and technology stocks, but those participants contributed an outsized share of trading volume.

Overall, RealStocks developed a three-tier trading structure during its first month. SPCX attracted the strongest market-wide consensus, large-cap technology stocks expanded overall participation in U.S. equities, and specialized segments of the AI value chain captured more concentrated trading demand.

Shared Themes, Broader Market Breadth

RealStocks and Stock Futures shared several leading themes in June. SPCX, MU, NVDA, SNDK, and MRVL ranked among the top 10 assets by trading volume across both products, reflecting strong interest in SpaceX, AI memory, and semiconductors across different trading formats.

RealStocks activity, however, extended beyond these shared market leaders. AAOI, DRAM, TSLA, and AVGO all entered the RealStocks top 10 but were less prominent in Stock Futures, while STRC had no corresponding Stock Futures contract. This shows that RealStocks users also traded more specialized themes, including AI optical communications, memory-focused ETFs, large-cap technology stocks, and theme-specific assets.

The difference is even clearer in overall market concentration. The top 10 assets accounted for 57.71% of RealStocks trading volume, compared with approximately 84.94% for Stock Futures. Assets outside the RealStocks top 10 still contributed 42.29% of total volume, indicating that trading was spread across a wider range of assets rather than dominated by a small group of market leaders.

Conclusion

RealStocks’ first-month data shows that users are moving beyond trading a single popular asset. Instead, they are trading different products and instruments to build broader exposure around market themes.

MEXC supports this approach by bringing multiple forms of U.S. equity exposure onto one platform. RealStocks offers access to more than 7,000 U.S. stocks and ETFs, with USDT deposits and zero trading fees. Eligible users may also receive benefits linked to the underlying shares, including qualifying dividend distributions.

Beyond RealStocks, MEXC offers more than 210 Stock Futures covering individual stocks and major equity indices, as well as tokenized U.S. stocks and Pre-IPO Launchpad opportunities. Together, these products give users access to listed equities, derivatives, on-chain assets and pre-listing exposure through a single platform, enabling them to participate across different stages of the U.S. equity market and capture a wider range of market opportunities.
