On the occasion of its sixth anniversary, Shiba Inu once again draws the attention of its community. Launched in August 2020, the project celebrates an important milestone as several announcements already direct attention toward its future. Messages of support multiply, while exchange platforms participate in the celebrations. Meanwhile, ecosystem leaders discuss a new development phase focused on rebuilding the main projects and consolidating technological foundations.

Shiba Inu Celebrates Six Years Marked by Strong Community Growth

Launched on August 1, 2020, by its pseudonymous creator Ryoshi, the memecoin Shiba Inu marks its sixth year of existence. Over the years, the project has become one of the most well-known tokens in the digital asset market. For this anniversary, several industry players and influential community members have sent their congratulations to the ecosystem.

The platform LBank notably participates in the celebrations with a $66,666 prize pool. Rewards include SHIB, BTC, ETH, and an iPhone 17 Pro as well as bonuses related to futures contracts. Meanwhile, HTX emphasizes that a project initially presented as a meme has become a worldwide movement carried by its community, culture, and decentralized approach.

At the same time, Shiba Inu continues to expand its user base. The total number of holders has surpassed the threshold of 1.6 million addresses. During July, 78,977 new holders joined the blockchain, bringing the total to 1,678,192. This growth accompanies the numerous anniversary messages published by long-standing community members.

The Ecosystem Prepares a New Development Phase

While the celebrations hold an important place, several leaders already invite the community to look toward the next step. Kuro, a long-term member of the ecosystem, sums up this mindset with a birthday message affirming that the adventure continues beyond this symbolic date.

At the same time, Mazrael mentioned the arrival of significant updates for several projects linked to Shiba Inu. Among them are the Shiba Eternity game as well as the Shiba Inu metaverse. The latter, presented as a virtual universe built around the ecosystem, was temporarily suspended before a future restart.

Kaal Dhairya, its designer, also recalls that the project went through a difficult period without abandoning its initial vision. According to him, the teams now want to focus their efforts on technology and the development of a sustainable product. He specifies that 2026 will be devoted to repair, better resource focus, and building stronger foundations for Shiba Inu.

The Market Reacts Positively to the Anniversary Announcements

The celebrations are also accompanied by a favorable price movement. Over the last twenty-four hours, the SHIB price rises by 2.6% to reach 0.054841 dollars at the time of writing. This performance allows it to outperform many major cryptocurrencies over the same period.

Over a week, the token now shows a gain of 16.66%. Despite this rebound, its price remains about 95% below its all-time high of 0.0000884 dollars recorded in October 2021. This comparison illustrates the progress made by the project as well as the challenges that remain.
