Are there really tickets left?
Two sources say two different things, and both are official. On 6 October, the organizer published a release stating the edition was sold out, with co-founder Alex Fiskum quoted: “We’ve fully sold out ahead of the event.” (release, 6 October). On the morning of 7 October, the official ticket page still showed two categories with the labels “Final Tickets Remaining” and “Limited Availability”.
The General Admission ticket, at $1,299, includes access to all stages and sessions, the exhibition and partner activations, all-day hospitality, daily networking drinks, the networking app and complimentary access to Sui Basecamp. The Special Access Pass, at $4,999, adds priority access and VIP credentials, the speakers’ reception, the Special Access evening powered by Ferrari, concierge support and guaranteed after-party access.
In practice, these are last-minute releases on an event that is already running. They can disappear at any moment, and the price shown at checkout is the one that applies. We detailed the tier system and the programme in TOKEN2049 Singapore 2026: Tickets, Program and -10% Cointribune.
What is still ahead on 8 October?
Day 2 is the one institutional players circled. TOKEN2049 Institutional debuts on 8 October with 250 senior leaders from finance and digital assets, and speakers from Goldman Sachs, BlackRock, Morgan Stanley, Franklin Templeton and the Solana Foundation, according to the organizer (token2049.com). It is the formal version of what we flagged when Nasdaq, BlackRock and Morgan Stanley were first featured on the speaker list.
Day 2 also hosts the finals of the NEXUS startup competition, with a $250,000 prize pool and judges from Dragonfly, Multicoin and Maelstrom, and the results of the second Origins hackathon, a 36-hour sprint that started on 6 October with $150,000 at stake. On the main stages, the headline names include Vitalik Buterin, Balaji Srinivasan, Vlad Tenev of Robinhood, Adena Friedman of Nasdaq, Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, and Formula 1 drivers Max Verstappen and Lando Norris.
Outside the venue, TOKEN2049 Week continues with more than 1,000 side events across the city until the Grand Prix weekend, and closes with the AFTER 2049 party on 9 October, whose line-up we covered in AFTER 2049 confirms headliners Claptone and Crusy.
What did Day 1 already deliver?
The biggest announcement came from the organizer itself. TOKEN2049 will hold its first New York edition on 16 and 17 June 2027, with 15,000 attendees expected and tickets starting at $599, making the US event the third flagship alongside Singapore and Dubai (PR Newswire, 7 October).Â
Bringing TOKEN2049 to the US has been a long time coming… Everything has now come together in New York.
Alex Fiskum
On stage, Arthur Hayes used his keynote to unveil FLOP, a network where AI agents would pay for inference and computing with a token mined by GPU providers, with a testnet targeted for late October and a mainnet in the first quarter of 2027.
Tom Lee said BitMine would cap its holdings at 5% of Ethereum’s supply, against roughly 4.9% held at the time of the announcement. Shayne Coplan, in a fireside chat with Balaji Srinivasan, discussed “the possibility of an on-chain asset” connected to Polymarket, without any detail or timeline. These three items come from on-stage remarks reported on 7 October; none has been confirmed by a written release yet.
Why this edition carries the whole year
With the Dubai edition moved to 2027, Singapore is the only TOKEN2049 flagship of 2026, which explains both the sell-out and the density of announcements. The organizer counts more than 7,000 companies represented, over 60% of attendees at C-level, a first city pavilion (Dubai, with 10 exhibitors) and title sponsors including OKX, Sui, BloFin, Mesh, BingX, TRON and Solana. The previous edition had already sold out; this one did so a day before opening.
If you are already in Singapore and still without a badge, the checkout page is the only reliable source: it will say “sold out” the minute the last allocation closes. If you are planning ahead instead, New York in June 2027 opens a new window, and the Dubai 2027 dates have not been announced yet.
