AI Summit Barcelona 2026: When AI Takes Action in Europe

Europe was not lacking in conferences on artificial intelligence. What it lacked, according to the organizers of the AI Summit Barcelona, was a place where the people building AI come with what they have already done, not what they promise to do. The guiding thread can be summed up in one phrase, AI in action, and it structures the entire program: live product demonstrations, practical workshops, real production use cases, rather than panels of foresight. Guillaume Rostand, CEO of AI Events Barcelona, summarizes the intention: AI must move out of theory, be deployed, tested, and understood in real environments. It is also a way to distinguish itself from the big futuristic gatherings in the sector.

A lineup that builds AI rather than just commenting on it

The casting sets the tone. The organizer announces more than 200 speakers from NVIDIA, Anthropic, Microsoft, Google, AWS, SAP, Databricks, and Hugging Face, representing a good portion of the infrastructure powering global AI. Among the headliners, Chema Alonso, vice-president and head of international growth at Cloudflare, is among the confirmed speakers, as well as Martin C. Syms, general manager and international head of BlackRock’s Aladdin engineering group, the platform managing the risk of a considerable share of global financial assets. The organizer also announces, as a headliner, one of the creators of the Siri assistant.

This mix, cloud giants, AI labs, institutional finance, and startup founders, shapes an event designed for practitioners. An Experience Village and a Workshop Village extend the stages, with the idea that attendees leave Barcelona with something concrete, a method, a contact, a prototype, rather than a stack of slides.

The bridge to Web3: the question of agents

What is a crypto media doing at a summit dedicated to artificial intelligence? The answer lies in a word that has become central on both sides: agents. The official hackathon of the summit, the second edition of HackBarna, focuses precisely on agent-oriented architectures, the same ground as the on-chain autonomous agents shaking the Web3 ecosystem. Agent payments, oracles, automated execution: applied AI and decentralized infrastructure converge, and it is often there that the newest uses take shape.

Prices start around 375 euros, and the organizer emphasizes a rare point, the listed price is the paid price, VAT included, with no additional fees. The Platinum, around 1,330 euros, is a networking pass, with speaker lounge, VIP opening ceremony, and curated connections; the organizer honestly states that if you come alone and for the content only, Silver is sufficient. Prices increase closer to the date.
