X filed, on September 17 before the High Court of London, a complaint against two Britons and several unidentified operators. The platform accuses them of artificially inflating the engagement of six Bitcoin-focused accounts to receive at least 207,384 pounds sterling through its former creator payment program.

A panicked crypto trader discovers a 278K Bitcoin transaction, while investigators quietly monitor his suspicious digital activity.

In brief

  • X claims 207,384 pounds sterling in payments, plus at least 75,000 pounds in fees.
  • Six Bitcoin accounts are at the heart of the complaint, three reportedly linked to Vivek Kumar Sen and three to Zamyang Sherpa.
  • The allegations have not yet been examined by a court and no decision has been made.

Six Bitcoin accounts and over 207,000 pounds

X Internet Unlimited Company and X Corp. seized the High Court Business List on September 17. The two companies are suing Vivek Kumar Sen, Zamyang Sherpa, and persons unknown.

According to the complaint, the accounts allegedly operated in a coordinated manner to artificially increase their engagement and earn more revenue through the Creator Revenue Sharing Programme, the former X payment system.

The document estimates payments at 207,384.94 pounds. The account @Vivek4real_ reportedly received 74,332.44 pounds, compared to 49,441.91 pounds for @saylordocs. @Bitcoin_Teddy reportedly received about 50,476 pounds in two payments. Three other accounts are said to have received a total of 33,134.31 pounds.

X is also claiming at least 75,000 pounds to cover costs related to its investigation, network analysis, and measures taken to prevent system recurrence.

Accounts linked to each other

The platform claims to have identified several links between the accounts. The Stripe account associated with @Bitcoin_Teddy is registered under the name “Stefan Mann”, while the bank account used to receive funds reportedly belongs to Vivek Kumar Sen.

X also mentions common devices, client software, and cookies. The posts also showed similarities. In one case cited in the complaint, two bitcoin-focused accounts published very similar content with only an eleven-second interval. Other accounts liked, shared, or commented on each other’s posts to increase their visibility.

X invokes fraud, breach of contract, unjust enrichment, and unlawful association. The affected accounts were suspended on August 18 for what the platform describes as a coordinated revenue-sharing fraud. No defense or court decision was publicly available as of September 21.

X also changes its payment system

The case comes as X has just ended its former Creator Revenue Sharing Programme. Since September 8, the platform has been gradually rolling out its new program, called Original Content Rewards.

To access it, creators must have, among other things, a Premium subscription, at least 500 verified followers, and have generated 500,000 impressions on the main feed from verified users over the past 90 days. Artificial, paid, or promotional impressions are not counted.

The timing of the complaint is therefore noteworthy. The first cited account reportedly joined the former program in August 2023, while the six affected accounts were only suspended on August 18, 2026. The proceedings will now need to determine whether X’s allegations are founded and what sums, if any, must be repaid.

For now, there is no indication that the funds have been recovered and no hearing is scheduled. The case could mainly serve as a test for X’s new payment system, while Elon Musk’s platform seeks to limit engagement manipulations and undue payments.
