Crypto company Binance has been in the hot seat for the past few days. As regulators closely scrutinize the exchange, the situation seems to be going from bad to worse. Recent calls from a former SEC official are adding to the company’s troubles.

John Reed Stark is urging people to withdraw from Binance now!

Recently, it was revealed that the crypto exchange platform has been struggling to find a stable banking partner. Now, people are wondering if the platform will even maintain any partnerships at all after John Reed Stark’s statements.

On May 2nd, the former Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) official publicly criticized the crypto platform, and he didn’t hold back. He called on users to abandon the exchange, warning them of the risks. This call is seen as a red alert based on Stark’s 18 years of experience as a financial markets’ lawyer.

It seems that Stark has numerous grievances against Binance. His criticisms are related to several inconsistencies and uncertainties he identified within the company. According to him, there is a significant “mystery” surrounding the company’s actual headquarters.

In addition, there is a long list of allegations of criminal misconduct, including fraud, misappropriation of funds, money laundering, and more.

What response from users?

It should be noted that Stark did not specify the exact extent of his suspicions against the company. It is also not certain that his opinion will be taken into account by users. Because, when it comes to Binance, it can be said that it enjoys the trust of its users. How long will this last? The answer is unclear.

However, what we can say is that Binance’s reputation is not an immobilized asset that it can rely on for long. It can even be imagined that the company is aware of its loss of credibility.

Not long ago, Tigran Gambaryan, Binance’s compliance officer for financial crime, spoke out. He praised Binance’s efforts to strengthen the security measures of the platform.
