Bitcoin has just recorded a technical change that Bitfinex had been expecting for several days. According to the exchange, BTC's weekly Super Trend has become bullish again for the first time since the start of the downward trend. The signal comes after the powerful rebound in August, which had brought the price from the $63,000 area to over $80,000.
A Bitcoin wallet estimated at 1.5 million dollars appears in the investigation into the murder of Mexican musician Jonathan Meléndez, his wife, their 3-year-old daughter and a housemaid. Two suspects were arrested less than twelve hours after the incident. The exact link with the BTC remains to be established: Mexican authorities confirm a money demand and a commercial dispute, but not yet the amount of 1.5 million dollars.
The question is not settled. The Federal Reserve decides on its rates on September 16, 2026, and the market is divided: the probability of a hike has fallen back to around 50%, after exceeding 60%, following more cautious remarks from a Fed governor. The European Central Bank could also raise its rates this month. As a result, bitcoin (BTC) drifts without direction: around $79,600 on September 7, just under $80,000, after a low of $76,700 on September 5 and a brief return above $80,000, according to CoinGecko.
Bitcoin is recovering, but the mining network is still cautious. In one month, the hashprice increased by 22.24%, driven by the price increase. However, the hashrate remains below 1 ZH/s, while difficulty has increased again. This situation creates a gap between potential revenues and the computing power being used. For miners, the upcoming adjustments will primarily measure whether this improvement can support a sustainable recovery of the network's capacity.

As of September 6, 2026, the "Next French presidential election" market on Polymarket shows $128,026,232 in traded volume, according to the platform's public data. It is one of the most active political markets in the world, and it concerns a vote that will not take place until April 2027. At the same time, this market is legally inaccessible from France: the National Gaming Authority ordered its blocking on July 16, 2026. A financial instrument built on the blockchain, a real French audience, and a regulator who qualifies it as illegal gambling: the issue is not the race; it is the mechanics.
The bears tell us that Bitcoin will return to 60,000 dollars. On the other side, some bulls are already talking about completely outrageous prices. As always, reality is probably somewhere in between. As a trader and two-time winner of global crypto trading competitions in 2024 and 2025, I will simply explain to you what I see today in the market, without euphoria and without trying to announce unrealistic targets.
