The crypto market crash did not trigger sales among the institutions tracked by Bitwise. Despite a decline of about 50%, none of the 15 entities surveyed reduced their exposure, and several have strengthened their positions. Bitcoin remains at the center of these allocations, often as the primary asset for these investors. Behind this stability, investors cite their durable long-term convictions, while Ether and Solana remain subject to specific exit conditions in their portfolios.

Bitcoin is approaching a major derivatives expiration. On Friday, September 25, about 182,000 BTC in options, representing $15.6 billion in notional value, will expire on Deribit. Calls dominate with 106,200 BTC, compared to 75,900 BTC in puts. Their study shows that this crossing preceded increases over several previous periods, while reminding them that this indicator does not guarantee a sustainable rise.

From 2027, the EU will step up oversight of AI and tokenization as Washington and Beijing accelerate their technology race.

Sequans Communications sold its last 314 BTC and officially ends its Bitcoin strategy. The French group now holds no crypto on its balance sheet, after owning more than 3,200 BTC at the peak of its accumulation. This exit comes at a bad time for all treasury companies: according to DWF Ventures, only 4 of the 20 largest companies in the sector still trade above the value of their crypto assets. The premium that fueled their purchases is seriously starting to disappear.

XRP and DOGE showed latent losses significantly higher than those of bitcoin and Ethereum according to information provided by Santiment. Such a signal can therefore contribute to reducing the risk of profit-taking, however it does not guarantee a rebound after their new drop.
