For several years now, the NFT revolution has been shaking up the global fashion industry. According to studies conducted by CoinGecko, more and more brands are diving into the world of NFTs by offering unique collections.

Between 2021 and 2022, NFTs have experienced a meteoric rise. At present, the majority of major global brands have invested in this revolutionary technology.

According to CoinGecko’s study, 21 out of the 50 largest luxury and sportswear brands have embraced NFTs. In total, 42% of the leading fashion brands own them. However, most do not yet consider these assets central to their strategies.

Adidas dominates the Fashion NFT World

Adidas’s first NFT collection, “Into the Metaverse,” was launched at the end of 2021. Since then, the German brand has created 12 collections.

The diversity of Adidas’s collections is impressive, ranging from collaborations with prestigious brands such as Bape and Bugatti, to in-house initiatives like the web3 artist residency program. The latest sensation, “Virtual Gear 2022,” allows users to customize their avatars with digital collectibles, adding a layer of virtual individuality to fashion.

Nike embraces the NFT revolution with RTFKT

The American sportswear icon has embraced the virtual revolution by acquiring the avant-garde studio RTFKT, known for its revolutionary designs and Clone X NFTs. This strategic acquisition in 2021 has paved the way for a series of innovative collections.

Under the banner of .SWOOSH, Nike has unveiled two NFT sneaker collections and a virtual identity collection.

Puma occupies the third spot on the podium

Puma’s 6 collections reflect a bold and innovative approach. Particularly noteworthy is the Gutter Cat Gang NFT project (in collaboration with basketball player LaMelo Ball), which stands out for its uniqueness.

With 21 major fashion brands venturing into NFTs, the digital revolution is redefining the relationship between consumers and fashion.
