Justin Drake, a researcher at the Ethereum Foundation, believes that artificial intelligence could discover a method to break certain cryptographic signatures before sufficiently powerful quantum computers arrive. He calls on the sector to prepare a "bunker mode," while specifying that no attack has currently been demonstrated.

Ethereum has just activated Glamsterdam on the Sepolia testnet. The crypto upgrade was launched on October 6 at 13:53 UTC, at epoch 353,024. Several important changes are now being tested on a public network: new organization of block construction, preparation for parallel processing, and revision of certain gas costs. The mainnet will still have to wait.

BitMine continues to accumulate Ethereum. The company has just purchased an additional 15,112 ETH for about 41 million dollars. Its reserve now reaches 6,016,414 ETH, valued around 16.4 billion dollars. According to its own calculation, the company controls 4.9% of the Ethereum supply and is now at 99% of its 5% target.

BNB Chain has just reached a milestone in the crypto market for tokenized stocks. The crypto market starts the month of October with multiple events likely to change the balance of power. Indeed, Bitcoin remains essential, however Ethereum, Solana, Chainlink, and BNB also have catalysts that would attract investors' attention.

Bitcoin continues, in my opinion, to show a generally positive structure, even though the market remains very volatile. After the recent rise, I would not be surprised to see BTC correct further before resuming. A drop towards the 82,000-79,000 dollar zone remains quite possible and, in my eyes, this would not mean that the bullish trend is over.

Ethereum has set the date: Glamsterdam, its next major update, will activate on the Sepolia testnet on October 6 at 13:53 UTC. Operators have one week to update their clients or face exclusion from the network. This is the final rehearsal before the mainnet, targeted for the fourth quarter of 2026.

BitMine is not slowing down: 17,362 more ETH in seven days, 6 million now held in its Ethereum crypto treasury. But the most surprising may still be to come with the 5%.

Wall Street institutions are increasingly approaching the crypto universe. According to Tom Lee, president of BitMine, this evolution would support the market over the next twelve months. His scenario relies on the growing adoption of blockchain by traditional finance, BitMine's exposure to Ethereum, and a market he considers cleansed after excessive leverage. However, US regulation remains more uncertain.
